I have always adored the classic fairytale of Rumpelstiltskin. However, I am disheartened by the fact that this enchanting story has been scarcely adapted over the years. Apart from its appearance in short movies, plays, television shows, and movies (like the Shrek franchise, Once Upon a Time, and Happily N'Ever After 1 & 2) there has been currently only one movie truly based on the fairytale by Cannon Films in 1987 which was almost 4 decades ago!! Since then, Rumpelstiltskin has never been brought to the big screen! Even more perplexing is Disney's apparent lack of interest in adapting this captivating tale!

Disney has the unique ability to bring timeless stories to life in a way that captures the magic and wonder that audiences of all ages cherish. With both animation and live-action styling at Disney's disposal, Rumpelstiltskin would finally receive the cinematic exploration and artistic attention it truly deserves.

Furthermore, the novel "The Silver Curlew," by Eleanor Farjeon which is a brilliant adaptation of the Rumpelstiltskin story, perfectly complements the fairytale and would provide a rich basis for a film adaptation. With its lush narrative and compelling characters, it would be a perfect match for Disney's creative prowess.

We ask the creative minds at Walt Disney Studios to consider crafting a feature film inspired by Rumpelstiltskin and "The Silver Curlew."
