Perry Hall Manor sewer extension petition

The Issue

Given that:

  1.  The PHM Sewer extension project has changed from the original Pumping Station based model to individual grinder pumps required at  every home.

      2. The average grinder pump fails, on average every 7 years.

      3. The average septic field fails, on average every 20 years.

      4. The proposed alternate plan will endanger public health at a nearly 3 times higher rate than the original proposal.

We therefore request the following:

That Baltimore county abandon the current plan that is to require an individual grinder pump to be installed at EVERY home and go back to the original plan which was to include a central pumping station and only a limited number of homes with grinder pumps installed based on the topography of that specific home and if the gravity feed to the central pumping station was not possible.

That homeowners with current functioning septic systems NOT be penalized and be granted the option to opt-out.

  • Please note- there is no donation necessary !!! At the bottom of this page you will see a donation link which you may choose to ignore. This is just a donation request  to support change.org and NOT the Perry Hall Manor community in any way.
