We are fighting a planning application to enlarge a local chicken farm from 16,000 to 48,000 chickens (they have plans to increase numbers to 80,000!).

These are not free range as you might imagine it to mean. The chickens are in huge barns. They open the little doors but half the chickens never know they can get out, and so don't.

The current farm has caused an increase in vermin - foxes and rats -  in the area already, which has had a knock-on effect of people hunting illegally on private land nearby.

The roads around the farm are single track country roads and are not suitable for HGV's in any way. 

These are just some of the environmental concerns we have, not to mention waste, smell and noise.

We are asking you to object to these plans. We would be so grateful if you could spare a moment to do this.
