Estimados vecinos y amantes de los animales,

Nos dirigimos a vosotros con una propuesta para mejorar la convivencia en Sitges y permitir que nuestros fieles compañeros de cuatro patas disfruten de nuestras hermosas playas durante la temporada de baño de una manera segura y responsable.

Actualmente, nos encontramos con una restricción que impide a los perros acceder a la playa desde Semana Santa hasta Octubre, limitando así su disfrute de uno de los mayores atractivos naturales de nuestra localidad. Reconocemos la importancia de mantener la seguridad y bienestar de los bañistas y respetamos el horario de ocio de nuestras playas.

Proponemos una nueva reglamentación que permita a los perros acceder a la playa en horarios que no interfieran con las actividades de los bañistas ni con la labor de los socorristas. Específicamente, proponemos habilitar el acceso de los perros de 8 de la tarde a 10 de la mañana durante la temporada de baño. Este horario garantiza que nuestros amigos peludos puedan disfrutar de la playa sin afectar las actividades diurnas y respetando el horario de los socorristas, que operan desde las 10 de la mañana hasta las 7 de la tarde.

Además, teniendo en cuenta las altas temperaturas que caracterizan nuestra época estival, permitir el acceso de los perros a la playa en estos horarios contribuirá a su bienestar y salud, evitando que sufran el calor excesivo y permitiéndoles disfrutar de un ambiente fresco y natural.

Sitges es reconocida como una ciudad Pet Friendly, donde se valora y promueve la convivencia armónica entre personas y animales. Permitir que los perros disfruten de la playa en horarios específicos durante la temporada de baño es coherente con esta imagen y refleja nuestro compromiso con el bienestar animal y la inclusión en nuestra comunidad.

Allowing dogs to enjoy the beach at specific times during the bathing season

Dear neighbors and animal lovers,

We address you with a proposal to improve coexistence in Sitges and allow our faithful four-legged companions to enjoy our beautiful beaches during the bathing season in a safe and responsible manner.

Currently, we face a restriction that prevents dogs from accessing the beach from Easter to October, thus limiting their enjoyment of one of the greatest natural attractions of our town. We recognize the importance of maintaining the safety and well-being of beachgoers and respect the leisure hours of our beaches.

We propose a new regulation that allows dogs to access the beach at times that do not interfere with the activities of beachgoers or with the work of lifeguards. Specifically, we propose enabling access for dogs from 8 in the evening until 10 in the morning during the bathing season. This schedule ensures that our furry friends can enjoy the beach without affecting daytime activities and respecting the schedule of lifeguards, who operate from 10 in the morning until 7 in the evening.

Furthermore, considering the high temperatures that characterize our summer season, allowing dogs access to the beach during these hours will contribute to their well-being and health, avoiding excessive heat and allowing them to enjoy a fresh and natural environment.

Sitges is recognized as a Pet Friendly city, where the harmonious coexistence between people and animals is valued and promoted. Allowing dogs to enjoy the beach at specific times during the bathing season is consistent with this image and reflects our commitment to animal welfare and inclusion in our community.
