I am one of many Victorian responsible 4wd enthusiasts who are being forced to travel interstate to enjoy our interest.
Our passion for 4wd driving is not just a hobby, but a way of life that connects us with nature and allows us to explore the beautiful landscapes of our state. Unfortunately, current restrictions in Victoria limit our access to many beaches, forcing us to undertake long and costly journeys interstate.

Victoria is home to some of the most stunning beaches in Australia. However, the lack of access for 4wd vehicles means that we are unable to fully enjoy these natural wonders. This not only impacts local enthusiasts like myself but also affects tourism revenue for our state.
The weather in Victoria also means there is a large portion of the year when the beaches remain mostly unused by the general public.

Accordingly, we propose opening select Victorian beaches for regulated 4wd access. This would be under strict guidelines ensuring environmental protection and safety measures are adhered to at all times.

In Western Australia where similar initiatives have been implemented successfully, it has boosted local economies by attracting tourists while preserving their natural habitats (source: WA Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions).

We believe that with proper management and regulation, Victoria can strike a balance between allowing recreational activities like ours and protecting its beautiful coastal environments.
