On Friday September 13, 2024, my son, D’Angelo Lindsey, was brutally murdered, shot 8 times while sitting inside his car. This tragedy highlights a broader issue affecting our community. Families are torn apart, lives are lost too soon, and a pervasive sense of fear and insecurity is taking hold. One significant contributing factor is a particular place of business, Jad Foods aka Dino’s, located at 5855 W Silverspring Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53218, which has become a menace to our society. If Jad Foods remains open, it will continue to attract the wrong crowds, including gangs, drug dealers and vulnerable youth. However, closing it down permanently could prevent further influxes of such dangers and potentially save lives, leading to a safer and healthier community for everyone.

Now is the time to act, as violence among our younger members has increased and continues to rise, especially at Jad Foods. Immediate action is crucial, and I can't stress the importance of this enough. My innocent son lost his life at the age of 20 due to Jad Foods not only accepting, but continuing to allow the wrong crowds to congregate. Making a change now could prevent further loss and tragedy within our families and community.
