Support the Skem Menaces Disabled Football Club and help secure the recognition they deserve.
We are calling on Lancashire County Council to recognise the incredible contribution made by the Skem Menaces Disabled Football Club by installing a permanent banner/plaque on a roundabout in Skelmersdale proudly declaring:
“HOME OF THE SKEM MENACES DISABLED FOOTBALL CLUB”
Since 2009, the Skem Menaces have been far more than a football club. They have created a team, a family and a community where people of all abilities can belong, achieve and thrive.
Over the years, players past and present have overcome adversity, broken down barriers and achieved things they were once told might not be possible. Their achievements have brought pride, inspiration and positive recognition to Skelmersdale.
This isn't about asking for a monument.
It isn't about asking for money.
It's about a simple sign of recognition.
After years of promises and discussions, we believe the time has come for those promises to become reality.
A simple banner on one of Skelmersdale's roundabouts would say to every player, every family and every visitor:
“We see you. We value you. We are proud of you.”
