1. There needs to be charges brought against the police department. 
2. There needs to be a serious deep dive into the practices of this police department.
3. There needs to be another law enforcement agency that oversees an agency that has the power to take away a persons liberties, freedom, and life.
4. Below is my account of events leading up to my brothers last day alive and my struggles after finding out exactly what happened, when it happened, why it happened, and who was all involved.

February 10, 2015
Operation Family Feud - Defendants sentenced. It was investigated by the Buchanan County, Mo., Sheriff’s Department, the St. Joseph, Mo., Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Buchanan County Drug Strike Force. Alot of Calvins friends and associates were targeted by the above investigating agencies.

8:32 pm I received a call from my brother Calvin Everette Robinson Jr. He said he would be here early in the morning with his daughter for Christmas. He said he missed me and would see me in the morning. He asked me to text a friend's number, and that was the last time I talked to him. 2:17am Message from car owner to Calias mom saying hes going to jail for stealing her car on Christmad and she hears him in the background….. 

December 25, 2015
8:17 am I received a Facebook message from Amanda Tatro. ( She asked for my mother’s phone number and I told her no. She had been calling my mother complaining about my brother. My mother is very sickly and I had been waiting to talk to Amanda about this.)

8:21 I received a phone call from Amanda stating my brother had died and she gave me Gary Scott's phone number (816-271-4882), a traffic detective in the hit and run unit.

8:25 I called Gary and he confirmed the identity of Calvin Everette Robinson Jr. My little brother had died in a car accident.

December 28th,2015
9:00 I called detective Gary to get more info about the accident. I learned that he hit a wall of a cemetery at 2:32 and he was pronounced deceased at 5:32. I asked detective Gary if anyone had done anything to my brother and he assured me that no one had. He stated he was going to talk to Tara Stillman he had learned that’s where Calvin was before he died.

December 31st, 2015
I went to the Duane E Harvey funeral home to view my brother's body. I was given his property at that time. I noticed his cell phone, money, and debit card were not there.

January 2nd,2016
Calvin was laid to rest in Brooking cemetery.

January 4th,2016
I called the bank that Calvin’s place of employment said he used for his direct deposit. The automated system asked for his phone number (816-835-8673).  The following is what I received:

I called detective Gary to tell him my brother's things were missing and to see if he had gotten any further with his investigation. I gave him the information that I had gathered and he said he would contact the appropriate department. He stated that he would ask Tara about it when he goes back out to talk to her. He said that Tara had stated she was behind Calvin and he needed to verify her statement. He also stated that during his investigation that he had learned the police spotted my brother on Noyes and Frederick speeding and began to pursue but called it off because he lost sight of my brother. So they were not involved in the accident. At this point my brother had been buried. 

January 11th 2016
I called detective Gary regarding my brother’s belongings after no return call. He stated that he had talked to Tara and she remembered Calvin having his phone. But the phone was not there. Gary stated he had talked to the financial crimes unit and I would have to get a power of attorney to get info about what happened to my brother’s things. I stated how it could simply be an accident if he was robbed. He stated that Calvin couldn’t be a victim because he was deceased and I would have to spend some money to find out what happened.

I called the St Joseph Police department to ask how I could obtain a police report. I was told that I could obtain a completed police report at buycrash.com. I paid $9.00 for the report.

Car owner informed me that her insurance could not cover anything because she was not in the car. She said there was not a claim number and would not provide her last name. 816-442-3516

January 12th, 2016
I received an eight-page report. I read the report and noticed there were some things missing. The only officer's statement included was the second officer on scene. I also noticed there was no diagram showing how the accident happened. I also noticed that the times were off because everything happened at 2:32. Officer Gary states in the police report that he saw no marks on the street except fresh marks that went under the only two police cars parked on the street. He states several times he didn’t see anything from 18th walking back West on Highly. Until he saw the marks that went under police cars. Officer Zachary Craft shows up during the investigation to help with reconstruction. This is where I believe the whole investigation went awry. Scott says he tells Craft what he saw and they begin reconstruction.

I called St. Joseph Police Department and was directed to Becky Caton to file a complaint. I left a message and she retuned my call promptly. I stated my concerns about the investigation, my brothers property, and the unhelpfulness of the detective in the case. Becky stated that she had already reviewed the case to make sure the First officers had not done anything inappropriately. She said she could forward Millers (first officer on the scene) statement because she had seen it. Becky also stated that I should be able to file a report about my brothers property. She said she would talk to the supervisor for the investigation and the financial crimes unit and return my call. Received Millers Statement.

I decided to locate the car my brother was in to see if there were any additional marks, indicating the cause of the crash. I located the car at an auction in Kansas City Missouri. I tried to purchase the car but was not allowed because it was a dealer's auction. I did obtain a video of the car. It is a full 360 view of the car. 

My father went to Saint Joseph Missouri to the scene of the accident. Took pictures of the wall and marks in street. The marks in the street (which we know were fresh at the time) paint a horrid picture of what happened.

• Calvin Robinson Jr.

Calvin Passed away in the early hours of Christmas morning 2015. All his belongings were missing. Additionally his debit card was used for a month following his death. After asking for an investigation into this matter, the family was told the a dead person could not be a victim and they were not going to investigate any further. Still waiting on a response from the Mayor of St Joseph Missouri. Spoke with the Prosecutor and was told that nobody investigates the police. Spoke with the investigator and was told that the family would have to spend some money to find out what happened. The family was not notified by the police of the death of their loved one. Instead a "friend" of the victim notified the family. The same friend who was later determined to have called the police and tell them that the victim had stolen her car. To make matters worse the officer who reconstructed the scene made the following video, seeming to taunt the family.

• Jason Fanning

Jason was murdered by a St Joseph Missouri Police officer 2/20/17. A officer approached Jason without any lights or sirens and shot him to death in a vehicle parked in a driveway. The following comment was taken from a article:

"Questioned about Bever’s failure to turn on his emergency lights, which would have activated the dash camera, Capt. Jeff Wilson, a spokesman for the St. Joseph Police Department, said this issue was an internal matter for the department and he had no comment on current police policy."
