Decide for yourself if you think the sewer district puts the developer ahead of the citizens in the neighborhood.  Check out this email dated January 21, 2021 from the Silver Lake Water and Sewer District to the developer. This was obtained by a Freedom of Information Act request and in their own words they say what they think of it and what they are gong to do about it:

 Just as a heads up, the District has been receiving lots of public records requests and comments recently from the neighbors about the offsite sewer connection…

 …Let me know if you have any questions or need clarification, preferably via phone, thanks.

Does this look like the sewer district is serving the interests of the developer by advising the developer to reduce their communication to phone calls so the substance of what they’re doing remains out of the reach of the citizens and the neighborhood? 

It seems the sewer district has adopted a written policy. It seems this email is now the sewer district’s written policy wherein it decides what the public is allowed to know. Can you believe that?   If you don’t agree with this policy you still have the right to let them know.  If you do, please do it in the most civil way possible.  Also, please consider signing (and sharing!) our petition to stop unrestrained and rampant growth in Snohomish County. It’s our county if we can keep it!  Thanks for your consideration.
