The Mt.Zion Confederate Soldiers Monument in Cornelius, North Carolina needs to be removed. It’s inscription partially reads “THOUGH MEN DESERVE / THEY MAY NOT WIN SUCCESS”. It’s 2020. I believe at this point we should all be able to recognize that the confederacy was wrong, and having a statue that honors men who fought to make sure that Slavery was still legal is a disgrace to this town.
