All schools in Ireland are scheduled to reopen for in-person teaching on Thursday 6th January. Because of ongoing Covid illness and isolation as close contacts, there will be a shortage of teachers. There is also a massive shortage of qualified substitutes. I am calling on all TDs & Senators who are qualified teachers to make themselves available for teaching from Thursday 6th Jan as they are on holidays from Dail duties.
