Animals FEEL. Animals EXPRESS. Animals CRY. Animals LOVE, UNCONDITIONALLY.
They cannot, absolutely cannot be subjected to the human cruelty. Animal cruelty should be considered a non bailable offence with stricter laws. 

What happened in Kerela with the pregnant female elephant is totally inhumane. Absolutely DESPICABLE. No human being should get away by treating animals like this for their pleasure or fun.
Allegedly few local people wrapped firecrackers in a pineapple and fed it to the pregnant elephant who was hungry and looking for food. She died of the injuries caused because of the the fruit that exploded in her mouth. Total brutal animal abuse.  She must have been in immense pain as she went to a river for some relief. She stood there with her mouth open to ease the pain and trauma. She died standing there is water because of the injuries. 

This brutal behaviour which will go unnoticed because of the loopholes in the judicial system. There is no fear in people that they will be caught and punished. 

There should be stricter laws where people are convicted with hefty fines and rigorous sentencing. People should fear that an action like this will put them in prison, convicted with a non bailable offence.
