Due to the carelessness & ignorance of mankind, the world must now suffer the consequences of a virus by the name of COVID-19. This virus is commonly found in Fruit bats , which are strongly suggested to not be consumed due to the many viruses they carry. Fruit bats are among the MANY live animals sold in China’s infamous “meat” markets. As of recently , the world has been exposed to the gruesome & inhumane videos as well as photos of terrified cats , dogs , bats, rabbits lizards etc . They pile on top of one another & cram into filthy small cages , unknowingly awaiting their execution.

Whether you are a pet owner or not , we can no longer ignore the awful images & footage displayed on the media . We must not sit back , while helpless & innocent animals are slaughtered for mankind’s greed. You do not need to like animals to see the injustices being committed. As of Friday , many of these meat markets that were banned during China’s outbreak , are now OPEN again. COVID-19 Is still active in China, now affecting its population with a second wave  . Despite the ongoing spread of the contagion, the Chinese government, as well as many merchants continue to turn a blind eye on the innocent animals . 

Our government , PETA, USDA etc must take action immediately. The Chinese government must be held accountable for it’s continuous failure to protect animal welfare. Communism does not insinuate or justify lack of rights , whether it’s to humans or animals. Not only will the animals continue to suffer , but so will we . I am asking for your signatures , as many as possible , for a simple reason : these animals are BEINGS just as much as we are . They deserve to LIVE & have a fighting chance . Please spread awareness & lets make a change .
