1,000 signatures! I cannot thank you all enough for your passion about this issue.

I have seen many take notice of Commerford & Sons recently, and it thrills me to see so many people worldwide support petitions to have them removed from The Big E, The Long Island Fair, etc. However, having them removed from certain venues will not solve the root problem.

It seems to me that the petitions successful enough to have them banned from these fairs will only result in them taking their act to another venue. There will be another fair or event opportunity in New England where people are greedy enough to seek to profit from these poor creatures. And if they don’t find another venue? They simply go back to their home location in Goshen, CT, now with more limited funds with which to provide for these already neglected animals. What has that solved? Simply that you won’t have to look at them at your favorite fair anymore? That is not real change. That is a band aid.

The only way to really make change and ensure that another disurbing video or image of an exhausted animal, shaking, dirty, and ill, does not surface from Commerford & Sons is to have their licensing permanently revoked. After 55+ legally verified citations since 1989 for poor living conditions, poor veterinary care, abusive animal handling, many reports of injury to both animals and people. These citations strictly take into consideration living conditions, liabilities, threat to public safety, and veterinary care, not the animals happiness in the slightest. Attached is a photo of just a handful of the existing citations Commerford & Sons has been guilty of dating back to 2006.

Please, help us put an end to this.
