Countless cases that go to court are for the mis treatment of animals. The law still does not treat animal cruelty on the same level as humans and this needs to change! Animals of all shapes and sizes have feelings and emotions but are not as expressive as us so can't tell us if anything is wrong, this doesn't mean they are beneath us it just means we need to look after them in the best way we can. Some people see them as easy targets and choose to bully, torture and even murder them for there own satisfaction and because they no longer want them. People like this get found out often when it is too late and the animal cannot come back from the terror that haunts them or the life the human has stolen. The penalties and punishments the law gives to the owners and torturers is astonishingly weak and unjust, a story recently named by the RSPCA as a house of horrors was by far one of the worst I have ever seen and the person responsible for this a 57 year old lady got 18 weeks in prison and a ban from keeping animals for life! 18 weeks does not teach them a lesson, when they come out they are going to continue because who is going to monitor them for the rest of there life to make sure no more animals end up in her care or lack of should I say! NO ONE! She is a murderer and deserves to be treated like one in the same way as one human kills another. Surely it's worse when the victim can't speak, understand or know what is going on? It's time to put a stop to a lack of criminal justice and to make sure that the poor animals that have endured a life time of suffering get some justice!!
