In a country where officers of the law are given practical impunity to abuse and berate, Daniel K. Clary was pulled over and beaten and repeatedly tazed. Given the power dynamic which goes unspoken, and the constant atmosphere in which black children grow up recognizing their place in this country - Daniel feared for his life and protected his life with equal force. It's unjust to strip a man of his time on earth and freedom for doing what most would if they were in his shoes. Daniel did not shoot to kill and he is not a murderer. Daniel deserves a fair and just verdict. We are asking for a reduced sentence, time served, and for behavioral health services to be administered so he can be rendered care. Please don't allow inequality to pervade our justice system. Thank you.
