The Pennsylvania State Police took has been racially profiling people of color and ignoring reports of child endangerment and harassment against children and individuals with disabilities. 

I am a single mother, I am raising four children alone and three of them have disabilities. A hater in my children's previous school has been harassing my family and creating a mountain of slander against me and my family. Without verifying or investigating, PA State Police have been taking one side of the story created by one of the staff in the school, a white female, who has been harassing my family. Instead of stopping her reckless and selfish behaviors, the PA State Police troopers added harassment after harassment against my family.

Please save children with disabilities from harassment, child abuse, child endangerment

The staff at the school then twisted the truth and accused me of harassing her because my children have an ongoing struggle with disability and mental health issues. The staff was angry that my children continue to have disabilities and struggle with depression and suicidal ideation even after she wrongfully deemed my children as "ineligible for services". My children are diagnosed with autism, and their doctor found them to show warning signs of suicide. However, the school hates it when a student has a disability or mental health issues while they are not on medical assistance (Medicaid) because it costs the school their budget to provide services as required by law. The PA State Police supported the staff's false claim that it is harassment when a child continues to struggle with disability issues even after the school unlawfully refuses to provide them with accommodation (not services). It is no need to mention that people with a disability need some accommodation to be able to function. A wheelchair is an accommodation, not a service.

Just because my children have disabilities and mental health issues, the staff at the school became irritated and accused me of harassing her. All she wanted was to ignore her obligation and accountability the law requires her to fulfill. My daughter was not able to participate in gym class because of her physical disabilities and severe emotional distresses. I had no idea what services the school requires to provide in this case, but I know that the doctors were against putting her in gym class considering her extreme emotional distress. Instead of following doctors' recommendations, the school nullified her struggles by creating false stories about me, all because they wanted to save their budget even though it does not cost them anything to excuse a child from a gym class.

Additionally, in their efforts to make eligible students ineligible, the school reached out to my family's doctors and therapists outside the school to block my family from getting the correct diagnosis and mental health care. Those doctors and therapists have nothing to do with the school. They are independent and I pay them out of pocket with my own insurance.

The school created false allegations that I made up disabilities and suicidality to threaten them to get services for my children. They downgrade the seriousness of the issues, especially with suicide because they do not want to be held accountable for their violation of the education law.

As a mother, I panicked when the doctor pointed out that my children were at risk of self-harm. Also, children with autism are 28 times more likely to commit suicide. I am autistic too and I am suicidal too. Many autistic people are suicidal because we get misunderstood all the time. All I wanted was for my children to get help, but the school would not leave my family alone, and there was nothing that would stop the school from slandering my family to mental health providers out there. The PA State Police dismissed the school's harassment as a civil case, but ironically they charged me with harassment because the PA State Police deem my efforts to save my children as conduct without a legitimate purpose. The PA State Police clearly discriminated against me based on race and disability.

The school has been freely harassing my family and their harassment was dismissed as a civil case when I reported them. However, my efforts to stop them from harassing my family and putting my children at risk were seen as criminal conduct. I reported that the school would not let my family get the correct mental health care and instead of stopping them, the PA State Police did what the school did. PA State Police reached out to my therapists to spread the slander and blocked my family from getting mental health care. For the troopers of PA State Police, it is a joke that people of color struggle with mental health issues and suicidality. They treated my family as dirt who has no feelings and no dignity. The troopers misused their authority as police to tell mental health care providers lies, and because they are police, the providers believe them.

I sit in therapy to heal from emotional wounds and pain but it was as if I talked to the wall. I was gaslighted and I became more traumatized and suicidal after every therapy. Later I found out that my therapy was harmful and hurtful because the troopers from the PA State Police had reached out to my therapist misusing their authority to slander me. They told my therapist that I was in therapy because I wanted to sue the school and that I was not actually suicidal but I fool people around with suicide threats because I was angry that I did not get what I wanted. These slanders all originated from the school. Without verifying the truth, PA State Police helped the school spread these false stories and block my family from getting the correct mental health care. They use gaslighting to justify their misconduct. They twisted every single truth to paint me as a horrible person. The troopers never talked to me but they deem that I am suicidal just because I was angry, and put those words in doctors' and therapists' mouths. This is untruthful.

I spend days and nights fighting the urge to kill myself, and I did whatever I could to save my children from suicide. People kill themselves when they do not get the correct mental health care. However, the PA State Police troopers only see my efforts to get mental health treatments as ridiculous jokes. My family has no worth in their eyes. They treated my family as trash and they did not allow my family to have our own feelings and to get mental health care because they do not see my family as human beings. They even charged me with criminal charges because they only see my efforts to save myself and my family as a course of conduct without legitimate purposes. It is like they are telling me that my children's lives have no worth in their eyes. They do not believe that people of color could genuinely struggle with mental health issues and suicidality. Everything I did for my family has been seen as having ulterior motives even for things that white people could do without any issues such as getting mental health care. It is as if they want to see my children and me commit suicide to believe that we are suicidal, and I think we might eventually get there if they would not stop. Their actions have made me even more suicidal, but they are unhappy when I call a crisis. I am to them no more than trash who is guilty of trying to get mental health care to not kill myself.

The PA State Police has been brushing off my reports of harassment and child abuse. They refuse to investigate crimes committed by white individuals.
