To Whom It May Concern, 

The purpose of this petition is to change the current Pennsylvania laws which forbid any citizen of Pennsylvania to make modifications to their vehicle. I would like to petition for the following modifications to be considered legal on non-commercial vehicles; under glow lighting (aside from designated emergency vehicle colors), lift kits, the stance of the vehicle exceeding the fenders, window tint, and the installation of both white LED cab and running lights. 

I believe it is important to address the amount of money and time that is put towards both trucks and cars with these specific modifications mentioned above. Owners of these vehicles take pride in their possession. It is also important to note that designing, building, creating, and driving a vehicle with the modifications above is a hobby many take pride in. Driving a vehicle with these modifications is not harmful to the community, neighbors, citizens of Pennsylvania, or others on the roadway; which is why other states in our country have made a variety of these modifications legal. 

As you read further into this petition proposal, please consider the quality of these vehicles and the maintenance that is often performed in order to keep all of these modifications new, updated, and showroom quality. It is important to consider the amount of money put forth to make these vehicles safe for the driver, passenger, and those who they may pass on the roadway. 

To close, I would like to reiterate the purpose of this petition. I ask that you consider changing Pennsylvania laws in regard to the allowance of a variety of modifications made to non-commercial vehicles. When driven in an appropriate manner, these vehicles do no harm to those on roadways, to the community, or to citizens of the state of Pennsylvania. Please stop providing fines to many owners of vehicles whose hobby is to build and drive their non-commercial vehicles without causing harm to others. To some, this is a lifestyle and they shouldn’t be penalized for doing something they love and take tremendous pride in.
