Nelson Paul Thompson, a former Captin for Randolph County, was charged with 2 counts of 1st degree child molestation, and 10 years in prison.

He targeted and manipulated his own daughter and step daughter, starting in 2006 up until 2023. This was going on for almost 2 DECADES. He sexually abused his own blood starting when she was about 6 years old, stopping when she was 15. But he didn't stop there. Nelson molested his step daughter multiple times in her life throughout the ages of 6-15. By a 50 year old "man"  who she thought she could trust. 

The victims of Nelson's disgusting actions leave them terrified, scared, and drained everyday. The stepdaughter spoke up about the abuse in the beginning of 2023. The victims fought everyday to grasp onto the justice they deserve. Finally, on October 16th, 2024, Nelson was sentenced to 10 years and Judge Hayes even gave the opportunity for the victims to handcuff the predator. For the 4 months that Nelson Thompson was in prison alot of healing was done. The victims anxiety started to slowly thin, and they were starting to adjust to there new life's. They thought they finally got the justice they deserved. 

On February 7th, 2025, the victims world shattered down. The monster that they fought against for over a year is getting out of prison after only serving 120 days.

What's at stake you say? The victims and the publics safety. The victims will be swarmed with fear; looking over their shoulders, scared to go out in public, terrified to fall asleep at night.

The time to act is NOW. Fulton, MO prison plans to let him out THIS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14TH, 2025. Judge Hayes approved for him to be let out because he passed a 120 day sexual offender assessment... OVER ZOOM. The assessment is NOT normally over zoom, so we are forced to believe special accommodations were made for him because of his years of work in law enforcement. We have to act fast in order to stop the release of a CHILD MOLESTOR AND PREDATOR!!
