We’ve been told our course at college has to be completed at home with one voice call every week or we fail the year or have to re-sit the whole year (were on our second year and most people want to go to uni) so we want to make the course grades based off our predicted grades like every other student our age in the UK. We agreed we thought it was unfair on us because of the lack of support we would be getting and we would be answering assignments that we hadn’t even started at college before ‘lockdown’. I struggle with mild learning problems and often rely on a teacher assistant rereading my work and adjusting grammar or spelling and now without their help it’s going to be difficult to write the correct things for a new assignment we haven’t started yet. I specifically chose college over A-levels because college was less academic and now I’ve been left to essentially pass the course by myself at home. This petition isn’t just for my course it’s for a lot of the uk who participated in a btec instead of A-levels.
