So angry, we got a response from the PDSA regarding our complaints.
They admit to multiple failings on their part, apart from taking on responsibility for partnering with Vets Now, they admit in there eyes the Vet that told us the go to pawsquad was incorrect and symptoms suggested and if it was a PDSA vet they would have brought Havoc straight in.


They pointed out they do believe it would not have changed the outcome, and that he would have had to be euthanised. But it would have he would not have died the way he did, we may have been able to let him go pain free instead of having a heart attack in the car just as we arrived at the lights where the PDSA was, if they did not waste 10-20 minuets trying to get us to use an app he would have been in the best place when he had his final heart attack. He may have died pain free and not from the heart attack and chocking on his fluid from the lungs.


We will be putting this to Vets Now and the vet that advised the PDSA receptionist to go to the app. He/Her needs retraining in what is an emergency and what is not. Unless the PDSA receptionist did not pass on the correct symptoms? We will be asking this question too.


But the PDSA thinks it is closed closed and tried to offer £100 Amazon Voucher. 

Like that makes anything better, like that will change training and policies across the PDSA. They have not even told us what will be happing to the receptionist who suggested it was the owners of Havoc who was at fault for the way he died.
No it don't we don't want money from what we see as a degrading failing charity.

We want reform, change, training and a service that is true to it's cause. We want understanding for pet and their owners as it is not just the pet affected but owners and owners mental health too. She needs retraining in compassion and how to deal with bereaving people who loose their pets that try to get help from the service.


Due to the way this complaint has been delt with we are even more determined to setup a charity to challenge Vets where a pet owner believes they are not getting the correct treatment and service.


Vets Now has until the end of today for a response before we take it to the following;

  • VCMS
  • VMS
  • ICO (in regards to not confirming permission to speak on MR Browns behalf with Vets Now)
  • Parliamentary and health ombudsman


We are going to keep on fighting for pets and their owners to get the right service and at a higher quality then it is now!
