One of my sons favorite teachers, Derrick Garforth, a social studies teacher at Jenks Middle School in Pawtucket was arrested last night in Providence, RI for desecration of a grave or monument. The monument he desecrated was a statue of Christopher Columbus, one that has already been vandalized in the past, and one that should have been removed long ago. This petition is to show support for Mr. Garforth, and to push the Pawtucket School Department not to fire him.
