I am a resident of Crystal Heights, Grande Prairie, AB, Canada. Like many others in my community, I am deeply affected by the excessive dust and poor road conditions on 88th Street. This isn't just an inconvenience; it's a matter of health and safety.

Every day, countless vehicles travel on this unpaved road, including school buses as it is a common bus route. The resulting dust not only makes driving difficult but also infiltrates our homes, compromising the air quality we breathe and creating HVAC inconveniences. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), exposure to dust can lead to respiratory problems such as asthma and bronchitis.

Furthermore, the rough shape of this busy road poses potential hazards for drivers and pedestrians alike. The Canadian Automobile Association reports that poorly maintained roads contribute significantly to vehicle damage across Canada.

The time has come for us to take action from our local government. We will work to gain traction to show that they should prioritize paving 88th Street not just for convenience but more importantly for our quality of life and health and safety.
