Now help us launch Phase 2! Taxpayer Team, Last night, our multi-municipal coalition achieved an absolute historic victory! Because of your incredible support, our ground team completely packed the Dormont Council chambers, forced an emergency rule-change vote on live camera, and legally compelled the administration to strip the developer tax freeze vote completely off the upcoming August 3rd agenda. We successfully broke their summer timeline, and the borough has thrown up another white flag this morning by suddenly canceling tonight's (July 21st) Safe Mobility safety meeting because they are terrified of facing our neighborhood block captains two nights in a row. They are shutting down public meetings to hide from our questions, but we are taking the fight straight to their inboxes. Our petition has officially exploded past 652 verified neighbors today! We are bypassing their canceled meetings and launching a massive Written Correspondence Flood straight to their official administration inboxes this morning. Please copy the formal letter template below, fill in your name and address, and email it directly to the Borough Manager (manager@boro.dormont.pa.gov) and general administration (info@boro.dormont.pa.gov) right now. Let's make them open their email folders to a wall of 652 taxpayer demands! SUBJECT: Formal Constituent Inquiry: Public Asset Responsibility & Fiscal Impact Study (Dormont Junction TOD) Dear Borough Administration and Elected Officials, As a taxpaying resident and registered voter within this district, I am writing to request a formal, written administrative response regarding the ongoing Transit-Oriented Development negotiations at Dormont Junction. Your official portal documentation states that 'Dormont will be responsible for the buildings' involved in the high-density layout. Given that private developer Pennrose LLC is simultaneously seeking a multi-year property tax freeze (LERTA abatement), this structural arrangement presents an immediate fiscal double standard for local households. Last month, residential property owners were forced to absorb a maximum legal 3.5% property tax increase to balance local infrastructure deficits. Please provide written clarification to the following three administrative questions: Fiscal Liability Breakdown: What specific long-term structural, financial, and maintenance liabilities is Dormont Borough assuming by being designated as 'responsible for the buildings' while the private developer receives a multi-year tax holiday? Infrastructure Capacity Audits: Has the borough completed independent, third-party stormwater management, traffic gridlock, and street parking capacity studies to evaluate the impact of this 180-unit layout on our immediate neighborhood blocks? School District Impact Analysis: What is the projected net financial loss to the Keystone Oaks School District fund over the lifespan of the proposed developer tax freeze, particularly while our local educators are operating without a finalized contract. Please consider this a formal constituent request for information. I look forward to receiving a written response. Respectfully submitted, YOUR FIRST & LAST NAME YOUR STREET ADDRESS Thank you for holding the line.
