Yes, this is not a joke. A leaked email purports to show that LNP Minister has now withdrawn support for the light rail.
The claim was made by MP Karen Andrews: “I’ve stood with our community against the proposed Light Rail extension route for some time and the State Labor government and proponents of the project still haven’t listened or acted on local concerns and objections. It’s not good enough,” she said.
“Mayor Tom Tate is now trying to push for a commitment on Federal funding to fit his preferred timetable.
“I have once again urged the Federal Minister for Urban Infrastructure not to provide any funding for the project as it currently stands."
