There are few things we all can agree on as a country. Donald Trump's response to the emotional and moving speech by Khizr Khan is one of those rare moments in American history when nearly everyone can agree it was beyond the realms of decency and acceptable behavior. Anyone who believes that the ultimate sacrifice of an American soldier is in any way, shape or form, on par with running a business or (allegedly) contributing to veteran's charities is simply unfit to be the Commander-In-Chief of the military. His comments make it clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that he has no understanding or respect for what the American military is all about. He has therefore disqualified himself from leading the bravest soldiers on the planet.

Donald Trump will never renounce his candidacy so it is pointless to even ask. What we are demanding is that all leaders of good conscience that remain within the Republican Party repudiate Trump and retract all endorsements they have given of his candidacy.

In 2008 John McCain asked us all to put "country first." All we are asking is that you now heed the same call.

This petition was created by a group of concerned REPUBLICANS who are watching with horror as this election continues to spiral down beneath any and all acceptable norms. We URGE you to do the right thing and put the country over the party.
