Lake Arrowhead has long been a tranquil, secluded mountain community. People come here to vacation, retire, or settle down away from the noise of the city. However, new flight paths caused by the Federal Aviation Administration's Southern California Metroplex project have brought the tranquility to an end. Planes flying to Ontario International Airport less than 3,000 feet above Lake Arrowhead cause huge disruption to the community. Planes can be heard flying over residents homes as late as 11:45 at night, waking homeowners. The old flight path flew over Heaps Peak, which has no homes in the area. The FAA should revert to the old flight path to avoid further upsetting the residents of Lake Arrowhead. We are asking Paul Cook to push the discussion with the FAA and resolve the issue. Let's make Lake Arrowhead a quiet community again.
