Obama has demonstrated with some finality that he is either an elephant in donkey's clothing, and/or timid, incompetent and stupid. Trying to figure out which has made for some fascinating conversation, but its too late for that. My nominee is Emanuel Cleaver, who explained how the the capitalist party is catered with sugar-coated Satan sandwiches. However, Vijay Prashad suggests Bernie Sanders or Russell Feingold, and argues persuasively that it doesn't matter too much which progressive candidate is drafted, the important thing is the important step is taken that Obama faces opposition in the primary (http://counterpunch.org/prashad08022011.html).
