I am now trying to gain interest with some MPs about how we can get this debated. So please re-share as much as you can so we can get more support for this petition. I was living in Switzerland at the time. Hidalgo was given to me because no one else would ride him. He had no brakes and had a history of bolting, and at 18.2hh, it wasn’t easy to stop, but I took him on.We learnt together and we formed a deep bond. 

I was in England visiting family when I got the call that Hidalgo and 3 stable mates had suffered a terrible accident. A drunk driver had collided with the group and Hidalgo and another stable mate were killed and another put down at the scene. My whole world crumbled at that point. Never could I imagine when I hugged him before I went to visit my family that I would never see him again. I was saved the trauma of the actual accident itself but the aftermath haunted me forever after…
