The Mahsa Amini Human Rights and Security Accountability Act, was introduced by the Honorable Representative Jim Banks during the previous session of Congress in October 2022.  This proposed bill will impose sanctions on the Supreme Leader of Iran and the President of Iran and their respective offices for human rights abuses and support for terrorism.

In order to be passed into law the bill needs to be reintroduced into the current 2023 session of Congress.  Please take a moment to sign this petition requesting Rep. Jim Banks reintroduce the bill ASAP.  Each day that goes by more innocent Iranians are tortured and murdered by the Islamic Republic of Iran for peacefully protesting.  The passage of this law will establish sanctions against the Islamic Republic for their ongoing human rights abuses and support for global terrorism, which will further destabilize the regime by weakening their financial abilities and lead to additional pressure by other nations to follow the lead of the United States.
