In reality, the research shows what common sense tells us. More guns mean more crime and more death. Gun possession significantly increases a persons risk of being killed by someone they know. A gun in the home doubles a risk of homicide and triples the risk of suicide. The presence of a gun increases the risk of domestic violence, and states with higher levels of gun ownership experience higher rates of firearm fatalities.   Legislation that reduces the easy availability and number of firearms is one of the ways to respond to, domestic violence and firearm-suicide. Having the Red Flag Law/Extreme Risk Protection Orders in law will save innocent lives. Wisconsin needs to have stronger gun laws.  Stronger gun laws save lives.
