Formal Request for Financial Disclosure

We, the undersigned members of Pasqua First Nation, respectfully submit this petition to request full financial transparency and accountability from Chief and Council.  As members of the Nation, we have a right to understand how band funds are being managed to support our people, our community, and future generations.

 Our Requests

We formally request access to the following documents:

Audited Consolidated Financial Statements

For the past three (3) fiscal years

Schedule of Remuneration and Expenses

Including all salaries, honoraria, and expenses paid to Chief and Council

Summary of Major Band Expenditures

Including significant programs, contracts, and external spending

Basis of Request

This request is made in accordance with transparency expectations under the

Indian Act and related federal funding obligations.

Band members have a recognized right to access this financial information.

Requested Timeline

We respectfully request that the above information be provided within:

 10–15 business days from the date this petition is submitted

Notice of Escalation

If this request is not fulfilled within the timeline provided, we will proceed with escalation to:

Indigenous Services Canada

Other appropriate oversight or legal channels as necessary

Statement of Intent

This petition is submitted in good faith and is intended to:

Promote transparency and trust within leadership

Ensure accountability to band members
Protect the long-term wellbeing of Pasqua First Nation
