June 21, 2018 — As previously posted, there have been two suits filed against the County regarding the 7 Diamonds mine, and there is the continuing suit against Lago Verde. These actions are expensive, well over $100k to date. We recently won a small part of the battle. The defendant filed for a "Partial Motion for Summary Judgement". What this motion, if approved, would have done, is made it impossible for anyone suffering impacts from blasting at the mine(s) to testify to that in court. Thank goodness the Judge saw through the ruse and ruled for our side. All of this marching in front of the court, deposing experts, getting transcripts, hiring experts is very costly.
