The current school reopening plan from Warsaw Community Schools does not do enough to protect the health and safety of students, families, or educators who work in our schools. Key problems with the plan include:

The WCS online instructional option denies students access to the same quality curriculum, and is only available to students with health risks and unique circumstance with health needs.

The WCS plan will deny students who take the online option from participating in extracurricular activities, dual language immersion, and STEM activities

The WCS plan does not sufficiently follow health department guidelines for school reopening.

Other Indiana districts have much safer, more detailed reopening plans that WCS could model (see Southwest Allen County, Hamilton Southeast, and South Bend).

Sign this petition if you support any of the above to request that Warsaw Community Schools develop a safer reopening plan with a full online option that has fewer restrictions, and in-person instruction that follows more health department recommendations.
