We are calling on the Encinitas Union School District to implement a policy requiring parental consent before exposing students to any divisive and controversial curriculum. This includes but is not limited to Critical Race Theory (CRT), LGBTQ+ Theory, Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

It is crucial that parents have a say in what their children learn, especially when it comes to topics that may align or conflict with their personal beliefs and values. We believe this policy will not only respect parental rights but also foster a more conducive learning environment for our students.

Please sign this petition if you agree that parents should have the right to opt into such curriculums on behalf of their elementary school children. As it currently stands, Encinitas Union School District has the ability to incorporate these controversial and divisive theories into lessons and literature without informing parents.
