If you have not done so already, please take the time to read yesterday's update and view all of the empirical evidence regarding EUSD's relationship with the trans-activist organization, Transfamily Support Services, and TFSS's efforts to medical and surgically transition young children.  

While the focus of this petition is to solidify parental rights within the Encinitas Union School District, it is not to vilify everyone who works within the district. We believe that our teachers are excellent, dedicated, and respectful.  Unfortunately, EUSD is uniquely progressive in encouraging elementary teachers to introduce controversial ideologies into the classroom.  Even more harmful, EUSD implements guidelines and policies that compel teachers, staff, and school administrators to keep secrets from parents about their child assuming a transgender identity at school.  This puts schools and parents at odds with one another, causing division in our school communities.  

Our goal is to have EUSD outline clear guidelines that respect parents in the upbringing of their children.  The first step in accomplishing this is for the EUSD School Board to enact a notification policy.  If a family wants their children exposed to select topics, they can opt into the lesson, and families who don't, will have assurance that their children will not be exposed. This will create a healthy school community where schools partner with parents and leave important decisions about the upbringing of our children with us.

It is EUSD's responsibility to create boundaries for the benefit of their staff and district families. In order for this to occur, we need a BIG show of community support. Signing and sharing this petition is great, but it's not enough!

Please attend the next board meeting on May 21, 2024 at 6pm and ask the board to create an opt-in policy as outlined in this petition.
