Save our watershed

The Issue

Please show your support for our effort to persuade Palmer Coal to leave parcel # 3021079080 as Rural and not rezone to mining.

240 acres of wilderness and animal habitat is in danger of becoming a sand and gravel mine. This could affect the Black Diamond Watershed, Fish Lake, and many critical wildlife habitats.

This action would also affect homeowners and businesses in the Black Diamond, Cumberland, and Enumclaw areas with increased truck traffic and congestion on narrow roads, increases in noise and air pollution, and reduction to the enjoyment of the natural resources.

Please show your support by signing this petition, and if you are able, attending a meeting on Tuesday, Nov 16th from 4:30- 6pm at the Black Diamond Bakery banquet room located at 32805 Railroad Ave, Black Diamond, WA 98010.
