Your Voices - 214 Strong - Sent to Pacifica's President

Thank you for taking action and lending your voice to our communal effort to return to campus, to community, and to active learning together. 

The office of Pacifica president Dr. Cambray recently sent a lengthy email including Reopening FAQs. No doubt there are a wide variety of reactions to this email. 

Your 214 signatures were sent to Dr. Cambray today making the statement that a significant number of us believe in the power of presence, of communal energy, and of the unnamed magic that springs forth when we are together. 

Many of us are preparing for and starting intense online summer sessions. In the counseling psychology program this means 7 consecutive 12-hour days online. Insert expletive here!

What I want to say to you is that regardless of the outcome, regardless of whether or not Pacifica reopens campus this fall, speaking up for what is right and true for you is a brave and rare thing in this world and I commend you for taking action.

Know that you are not alone--213 Pacifica students and friends stand with you (and possibly more who did not have the opportunity to sign this petition). 

Thank you. Thank you for being a light in this world. For all our sakes, and for the larger community, I hope we can shine brightly together soon. Until then keep on keeping on, and rest as needed.
