Keep SNP propaganda out of the Oxford Dictionary

The Issue

The Oxford Dictionary is widely recognised as the gold standard in lexicography but we regret a glaring mistake has crept into one of its recent editions.

This is the entry for the word 'subsequently':

subsequently
ˈsʌbsɪkwəntli/
adverb
adverb: subsequently
after a particular thing has happened; afterwards.
"many of the Scots who voted for Union subsequently changed their minds"

Clearly, there is no evidence to support the example used in this definition - most Scots are content that we made the right decision to vote No in the referendum despite the claims of the SNP and the wider independence movement.

In order to prevent users of the Oxford Dictionary being misled, we are calling on the Oxford University Press to live up to the high standards they have set themselves by striking this example and use a better example to illustrate the word 'subsequently' which is accurate.
