The 864 DF (Marham) Air Cadets Squadron is to be closed down on the 14th November. All parents feel this is an absolute travesty! How can a RAF base as important as Marham, have no Air Cadets?

There is very little for our children to do in this area, and this squadron was something that all our kids love. They are all devastated with this news. Surely there is something we can do to stop this happening?

The decision has been blamed on having insufficient officers and instructors in the wing and the two current officers are required elsewhere.

The Cadets DO NOT want to go elsewhere, they want to stay at 864 DF. This decision has been made entirely by the Air Cadets Organisation, will no consultation with the parents and against the wishes of the current RAF Marham Station Commander, who is more than happy to continue to accommodate the squadron.
