Overturn NUFC's Decision to BAN Andrew Ferrell and Liam Webster from St James' Park

The Issue

In May 2023 the Court of Appeal overturned a decision to ban "Fez" and Liam from Football Grounds in England and Wales deeming their conviction for low level Public Disorder to be IRRELEVANT to Football.

The Court accepted that whilst eating in a restaurant before a Newcastle Game in November 2022, a young autistic boy entered the restaurant pleading for help. Soon after the pub was attacked by others unknown. Showered in glass the pair, and others went out to defend fellow customers, and their actions went too far. The Judge accepted these actions had nothing to do with Football or the match to be played later that day.

Sadly Newcastle United have taken the decision to ban the two diehard fans ignoring the Court's decision to overturn their football banning orders and have revoked their season tickets preventing them travelling home and away.

Both men epitomise a true Newcastle United supporter. Never miss a game, organise travel to the game and have stuck with the team through thick and thin.

To ban them from the Stadium under these circumstances is contrary to Justice and a slap in the face to all Newcastle United Fans. At a time when season tickets are like gold dust, imagine this was you, and you had your tickets revoked for doing the right thing. If it has happened to Fez and Liam, it could happen to anyone.

With the new season kicking off this week, it is time to take a stand against an affront to fan loyalty and hold the new NUFC regime to their promise to build an open, honest club ran for the benefit of its passionate fan base.
