After four months of dialogue with the Floral Park Village elected leadership, the FP board voted to introduce a new law (Law 2, ‘25) that amends the inhumane anti-cat Law 7 (‘24). The board voted to advance the new law about feeding outside animals but have not disclosed their proposed new law - nothing mentioned about managing outside ownerless cats.  The Village Board will hold a public hearing in early May to present the new law and hear public comments.  Please follow the Facebook page: Floral Park Cat Advocates for more details.  We encourage all to attend the May meeting at Floral Park Village Hall - date not yet announced.  Folks can also participate via Zoom, logon details will be shared as meeting date approaches.
