From the Facebook page of "Justice for Horses of Stearns Outfitters - Wyoming":
We believe that the Sheriff's Office, investigators, and Wyoming State Board of Outfitters and Professional Guides will allow Forest Stearns to keep his "License To Kill".
We demand explanations for these statements in the article and will present experts to the sheriff's office since they have cited finding only one animal behavioral vet who primarily works with cats and dogs.
"Even if lab results show Stearns overdosed the horse, he won’t face charges," Whalen said. "It is legal for people to put down their animals in a humane way,” Whalen said.
AND
"Investigators have been in contact with the Humane Society of the United States and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Whalen said, in search of an expert who can testify that Stearns’ actions are cruel.
The only expert they’ve referenced is an animal behavioral vet,” Whalen said. 'He’s credentialed, but his focus has been on dogs and cats and behavioral analysis of animals.'
