Our safety first- Ask MCG to relocate stray dog feeding points and remove aggressive dogs.
The issue
In our society, H and G block Ansal Versalia, Sec 67, Gurugram- dog attacks have become a frighteningly common occurrence. The growing number of stray dogs has turned our once peaceful and safe environment into one filled with concern and anxiety. Feeding points for these strays are located in a densely populated residential area, posing significant risks to children, the elderly, and anyone using these roads daily—including house help, local villagers, delivery personnel, and residents driving their vehicles. The presence of these feeding points has not only increased the number of stray dogs, but has also led to aggressive behavior such as chasing delivery bikes and cars.
They are extremely noisy at night, making it very hard for the children and the elderly to get a proper rest at night. They howl, bark and run behind cars all night.
We do not harbor any ill will towards these animals; in fact, we believe in treating all creatures with compassion. However, the safety of our community must come first. The increasing aggressiveness of the strays demands urgent action to protect our community while still caring for the animals responsibly. We advocate for the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon to relocate the feeding points away from our residential society to a more suitable location that ensures the welfare of both humans and animals.
Moreover, we urge MCG to take responsibility for permanently removing aggressive dogs to factors out the immediate danger they pose. We stand for a balanced solution that prioritizes safety and compassion. By addressing the stray management issues, we can restore peace in our neighborhood and foster a harmonious coexistence.
We look forward to seeing a prompt action from MCG for restructuring the stray dog feeding system. This change will not only ensure a safer environment but alìso encourage better animal welfare practices. Let's transform our community into a haven for both people and animals by taking immediate steps. Please sign this petition to support our call for change.
