Talking to Fairfax Media about the cut, he said "We don't believe there's a sufficiently strong case ... so we have removed our funding… We're very clear about the aspiration we've set, reflected through the targets. We're unapologetic about that.” Then: Winning Edge Medal Tally: "The sport of Boccia since 2008, .... The sport is unlikely to win in Rio, but the APC is targeting a strong performance in 2020" and as such will keep their funding.
