The Issue

Residents of the apartment community at Thomson Farms Road in Rexburg are asking property management to address a growing sanitation issue on the property. Dog waste has accumulated throughout several of the grass areas around the buildings. In some areas there are dozens of piles present, making outdoor spaces unpleasant and unsanitary for residents.

My 2 children have both slipped in dog waste multiple times while playing on the grass at our community. It’s not just unpleasant — it’s unsafe and unsanitary. I worry every time they run outside that they’ll step in something hazardous, or worse, that germs could make them sick. It gets tracked on the sidewalk, the breezeways, and it's embarrassing to invite friends over.

This isn’t just about inconvenience. Dog waste sitting on the ground can spread bacteria and parasites, and with HUNDREDS of piles across the property, it’s impossible for kids, pets, and even adults to use the outdoor areas safely. The smell makes it hard to enjoy our own community spaces, and it discourages us from letting our children or pets play outside.

We all moved here expecting a safe, clean, family-friendly environment. But the growing dog waste problem is making it feel like our voices aren’t being heard. Management must take responsibility for maintaining a healthy space, and we need your support to show them how many residents are concerned.

Please sign this petition to help us ensure our kids can play safely and our community stays clean and enjoyable for everyone.

This affects everyone in the community:

- **Children playing in shared outdoor areas**: The presence of dog waste is not only an unpleasant sight but also poses potential health risks to children who use these areas to play and enjoy outdoor activities.
- **Residents walking pets**: Without clean grass areas, walking pets becomes a frustrating task as residents find it challenging to dodge the waste.
- **The cleanliness of the property**: The accumulated waste deteriorates the overall hygiene and appearance of our community, affecting the quality of life for all residents.

The property management team is urged to take immediate action to address this issue. Having regular waste cleanup is a necessity and not optional.

Immediate intervention is vital to restore the integrity and appeal of our living environment. Sign the petition to demand a swift response from property management for a cleaner and healthier Thomson Farms Apartments community.
