Manningham City Council is proposing to compulsorily acquire and demolish established family homes on Franklin Road and Beverley Street, Doncaster East under Amendment C141mann:Public Acquisition Overlay for Public Open Space. If successful this compulsory acquisition will displace the affected residents some of whom are in their 80's and some of whom are facing significant Health Issues.  All are long term residents  and rate payers of the City Of Manningham.

We believe that public green spaces should not be created at these specific residential properties, especially when alternative non-residential or
underutilised land options remain unexplored.

The undersigned petitioners therefore request that Manningham City Council:

1. 
   Immediately abandon all current plans and processes for the compulsory acquisition of
   residential properties at 48 Franklin Road, 48/A Franklin Road and 47 Beverly Street. 

2. 
   Commit to exploring alternative, non-invasive solutions to fulfil the Open Space Strategy
   without displacing residents. 

3. 
   Formally vote against any recommendations to proceed with these compulsory acquisitions
   at the Council meeting 27th October 2026.
