8/12/2024 BOCC Public Hearing “Protect Rural Enclave”

“Here tonight to IMPLORE you our Osceola County Commissioners to take action and enact 2018 Rural Enclave Protections that you, BOCC motioned for back in 2018. I understand this protection information put together in 2018 sits in the Planning Department not yet implemented. 

Personally I have sent many emails over the past few months containing pertinent information and details specifically on the threats to Rural Enclave #5 along Narcoossee Road. 

Many others and myself have requested YOUR assistance. YOU are Rural Enclave Residents ONLY LINE OF DEFENSE against the out-of-county, out-of-state investors / developers that care nothing about these Rural Enclaves, “The People” living here, the surrounding community’s quality of life or the environmental impact left behind once they made their money! 

It’s just green empty space for them to ravage and put green in their pockets. For us this is Our Rural Way of Life and cherished HOME to our Families. 

Rural Enclave #5 is CURRENTLY threatened by these investors / developers and need you NOW Commissioners to move quickly and enact Rural Enclave Protections preserving these historic green spaces on map presented before the complete urbanization of our rural homesteads.

We need you to “Fight for Us” to Preserve and Protect Our Rural Enclaves now and for the future! 

We no longer would have to endure the STRESSES of being under the CONSTANT THREAT from outside investors/developers, if you Our County Commissioner TAKE ACTION TODAY to Preserve and Protect Rural Enclaves. We the residents want an ENDING of any Comprehensive Plan Amendment Applications to Rezone Historic Deed Restricted Rural Enclaves!”
