The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is an international organization consisting of 57 member states that aims to provide the collective voice of the Muslim world. However, the OIC has chosen to commend China’s efforts “in providing care to its Muslim citizens" even though it is carrying out a genocide against the Uyghur and Turkic populations residing in East Turkistan.

All Muslims should stand for justice—even if it is upon ourselves—and to support those who are oppressed regardless of the wealth and might of the oppressors. We urge the OIC to stand firm on these Islamic principles. We strongly urge the OIC and its member states to join the international community in condemning China and demanding accountability for the abuses highlighted in this statement. Specifically, we call on the OIC to:

1. Uphold its the Charter which states, in part that Members will “preserve and promote the lofty Islamic values of peace, compassion, tolerance, equality, justice and human dignity” and “to enhance and strengthen the bond of unity and solidarity among the Muslim peoples;”
2. Publicly and unequivocally condemn China for its crimes against humanity and genocide of the Uyghur and Turkic Muslims;
3. Cease promotion of the Chinese government’s propaganda that is meant to whitewash its human rights violations against Uyghurs;
4. Provide refuge and protection for Uyghur refugees; and
5. Support UN and other independent international investigative efforts to force China to comply with international human rights obligations.

منظمة التعاون الإسلامي هي منظمة عالمية تتألف من ٥٧ دول أعضاء تهدف إلى تشكيل الصوت الجماعي للعالم الإسلامي. 

لكن، المنظمة اختارت الثناء على جهود الصين "في توفير الرعاية لمواطنيها المسلمين" بالرغم من أن الصين تجري إبادة جماعية بحق الأويغور وعرقيات الترّك التي تسكن في تركستان الشرقية. على جميع المسلمين أن يتكاتفوا وينادوا بالعدل - حتى وإن كانت على أنفسنا - و أن ندعم المستضعفين بغّض النظر عن جاه ونفوذ الظالمين. نناشد بشدة منظمة التعاون الإسلامي أن تقف بحزم على هذا النهج الإسلامي. نناشد بشدة المنظمة والدول الأعضاء للإنضمام إلى المجتمع الدولي في إدانة الصين والمطالبة بالخضوع للمساءلة عن الانتهاكات المبرزة في هذه العريضة. ندعو المنظمة خصيصاً كي:

التمسك بميثاقها الذي ينص على أن على الدول الأعضاء " الــحفاظ عــلى الــقیم الإســلامــیة الــنبیلة الــمتمثلة فــي الســلام والتراحم والــتسامــح والمساواة والعدل والكرامة الإنسانية " و" تعزيز وتقوية أواصر الوحدة والتضامن بین الشعوب المسلمة.
إدانة الصين علانية وبشكل قاطع لجرائمها ضد الإنسانية والإبادة الجماعية بحق مسلمي الأويغور والترّك.

التوقف عن الترويج للحكومة الصينية بغرض تبرئتها من انتهاكاتها لحقوق الإنسان ضد الأويغور.
توفير اللجوء والحماية اللاجئين الأويغور. 
دعم الأمم المتحدة وجهود التحقيقات العالمية المستقلة لإجبار الصين على الامتثال بتعهداتها العالمية لحقوق الإنسان.
