Organic food needs to be more easily accessible

Organic food needs to be more easily accessible
The Issue
Organic farming effects everyone but more significantly impacts farmers and their crops.
Organic is a way farmers grow and process farming (agricultural) products. Organic farming practices are designed to meet the following goals:
•Improve soil and water quality
•Cut pollution
•Promote self-sustaining cycle of resources on a farm
Materials and methods not allowed in organic farming are as followed:
•Artificial fertilizers to add nutrients to the soil
•Sewage sludge as fertilizer
•Most synthetic pesticides for pest control
•Using radiation to preserve food or to get rid of disease or pests
•Using genetic technology to change the genetic makeup of crops
Non-Organic food contains less nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, and nitrate levels are also higher. They also contain artificial food additives like artificial sweeteners, preservatives, coloring, flavoring, and monosodium glutamate (MSG).
Non-organic food also contains synthetic chemicals, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and hormones that aren’t good for us.
Organic foods are better for you and can positively affect your health.
If we keep eating highly processed and substantially unhealthy food our health with decline aggressively. In an age where health and what we eat is talked about constantly now is the time to act and demand better and healthier food that is easily accessible and doesn't break the bank.
Some possible solutions are:
•Having stricter guidelines on what synthetic chemicals can be used on produce
•Stepping away from industrial farming and focusing on small abundant sustainable farms that are locally owned
•Slowly lowering prices of organic foods which makes them more accessible and the easier option when shopping
